Edison's flagship product, BigTime™ snaps onto QuickBooks® 2003

BigTime converts the nation's most popular small business accounting software package into a complete time, budget and resource planning system for professional services firms.

CHICAGO — November 13, 2002 — Edison's Attic announced today that it's BigTime™ software for professional services firms can now snap onto QuickBooks®. BigTime—a system that people-based or project-driven firms use to track time, plan budgets, manage staff and track account plans—will work side-by-side with QuickBooks 2002 and 2003 (Pro or Premier editions).

BigTime is geared toward small professional services firms. It provides a cost-effective, easy-to-use solution for tracking time, expenses, budgets, project/account plans, customers, contacts and more.

"QuickBooks is used in every sector we serve, from PR and advertising to management consulting to IT services," said Brian Saunders, Edison's CEO. "If you're a services firm, QuickBooks provides most of the back office functionality you'll ever need. Now, BigTime can provide what's missing."

Services firms can now get what’s missing in a single, inexpensive package. BigTime builds on a host of QuickBooks native features:

• Setup and keep track of retainers, progress billings, and other billing scenarios frequently used by services firms;

• Track employee bonuses, reviews, performance and staffing;

• Enter time in an easy-to-access browser-based system that employees can access from PC’s, MAC’s or any internet-ready system;

• Produce reports geared to professional services firms to track resource planning, time, and account/client related information.

BigTime started sharing data with QuickBooks when Intuit first launched the Intuit Developer Network in 2002. Intuit added Edison's Attic to its Power Launch Partner program earlier this year.

"We are thrilled that Edison's Attic is participating in the Intuit Developer Network and is enabling data sharing between BigTime and the QuickBooks 2003 products," said Esther Kruijver, director of the Intuit Developer Network. "Our relationship with Edison will help us better meet the specific needs of our small business customers."

"Most of our customers have grown up on QuickBooks, so giving them a system that extends its power and allows them to keep the accounting software they trust is essential" Saunders said.
