BigTime shows your staff only what they need to see. BigTime provides firms under DCAA audit control a certifiable way to ensure that users see only what they are supposed to. Every person that logs into BigTime can use the easy web-based interface to get from screen to screen. The system is also tailored to each of your users, so managers see one level of detail, and staff members see something else.Daily time entry is simple for your users. Your users can enter time daily, per DCAA audit requirements. In addition, BigTime keeps track of back-filling and time entry adjustments automatically (adding audit-log entries automatically, based on the standard DCAA audit rules that are built into the timesheet). Finally, users are prevented from logging time ahead (except for projects like leave or vacation) as a standard part of the DCAA compatible timesheet.BigTime collects user changes and comments automatically. DCAA audit rules require your users to explain any changes they make to time entries once they click the SAVE button, and BigTime helps you stay on top of that requirement by asking for user comments every time an auditable change is made. Users can enter a free-form comment, or they can select one of the auto-text values you provide to minimize "red-flags" in your audit-trail.Built-in support for weekly, bi-weekly or semi-monthly timesheet submission. When your users submit their timesheets for approval, they do it electronically, and BigTime allows you to collect an electronic signature in order to satisfy your DCAA auditor's requirements.Supervisors can approve timesheets by project or by staff member. Not only can you use BigTime's built-in timesheet review and approval process to satisfy your supervisory approval requirements, you can customize the data your manager see with BigTime's built in tools. Supervisors can approve or reject time, but the DCAA Compatibility Module prevents them from making changes to that time (so time must be routed back to the user for adjustment and re-submission).Supervisory approval is done electronically as well. Once your supervisors are ready to sign off on a timesheet, they have a simple approval window that lets them affix an electronic signature to the document--allowing them to approve time, adjustments and audit-log explanations with one simple screen.Use BigTime's reporting engine to keep track of your audit-trail. BigTime adds extensive audit-log data to the system's reporting engine, so you can feed that level of detail into any of your reports. This gives your managers, your contract administrators, and your supervisory staff an easy way to monitor the timesheet data regularly and an easy way to be prepared BEFORE DCAA audits commence.Certified Timesheet reports make DCAA audit detail extremely easy to provide. Collecting all of the timesheet data associated with an auditor's request, compiling a complete audit-log report, verifying supervisor signatures were applied to the right set of timesheet data and certifying the timeline for all of those events can be an extremely difficult and time-consuming task. BigTime helps you automate the entire process by providing a certified timesheet report that gives you all of that data (1 week per page) in a simple to read and DCAA presentable format.
